A New Look For Your Bill
With customer satisfaction in mind, we are introducing a new bill format in January! Our goal is to create a customer bill that is simple, clearly stated and easy to understand.
To ensure you would like the end result, we held focus groups with some of our residential and commercial customers to solicit their input. Their response was:
- The new bill format is clean looking, professional, user-friendly and easier to understand than our current bills.
- The larger size (8½ x 11) enhances readability.
- They liked the changes to display of information:
- Placement of bill amount, due date, account number and billing period is now at the top of each page.
- Important information such as supplier enrollment information is printed directly on the bill, instead of separate inserts enclosed with the bill.
- A new electric usage history graph now appears on the bill.
Please Note
- With this new bill format, only the display of information has changednot any specific line items, charges or pricing.
- The new bill design will not affect your service or the ways in which you conduct business with National Grid.
- Initial Termination Notices will no longer appear on the bill. Instead, they will be mailed separately in letter format.
- You will have a new 10-digit account number, which will be displayed on your new bill. If your bank automatically withdraws funds from your checking or savings account to pay your bill OR if you use your bank's online bill pay service, please provide your bank with your new account number.
When your new bill arrives for the first time, a guide to understanding your new bill will be enclosed.
