The following are basic descriptions of our streetlighting service.
Streetlight Rates
S-1 Rate
Streetlighting service is available under this rate contingent upon Company ownership and maintenance. The cost varies depending upon the type of light, size of light, overhead or underground service and pole requirement.
S-2 Rate
Streetlighting service is available under this rate for installation owned by any city, town or other public authority. Service is supplied through overhead conductors. Service and maintenance by the Company will be provided at rates as outlined in the tariffs. This rate is not available to new customers after March 1, 1998. The cost varies depending upon the type of light, size of light, overhead or underground service and pole requirement.
S-3 Rate
Streetlighting service is available under this rate only for installations served by underground conductors and involving a division of ownership between the customer and the Company. The cost varies depending upon the type of light, size of light, overhead or underground service and pole requirement.
S-5 Rate
Streetlighting service is available under this rate to any municipal customer that has purchased designated street lighting equipment pursuant to G.L.C 164 § 34A and is otherwise eligible to receive retail delivery service under the Company's street lighting tariffs.
S-20 Rate
This rate is available to any customer who agrees to convert all existing incandescent and mercury vapor source lights to sodium-vapor source lights. The agreement for such conversion is part of this rate. Service under this rate is contingent upon Company ownership and maintenance of street lighting equipment. The cost varies depending upon the type of light, size of light, overhead or underground service and pole requirement.
