Additional Information:

High-Efficiency Unitary Equipment Specifications National Grid, along with the other program sponsors, works with the Consortium for Energy Efficiency’s (CEE) High-Efficiency Commercial Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Initiative (HECAC) to promote high-efficiency specifications and quality installation of unitary air conditioning and heat pump equipment. We promote the use of CEE’s Tier 2, one of three minimum-performance tiers, for qualifying equipment through the Massachusetts Cool Choice program.

CEE also maintains a directory of ARI verified, energy-efficient residential and small commercial HVAC equipment. This directory catalogues thousands of HVAC systems that are 65,000 btu/h or less and that meet CEE's specification levels. To view this directory, go to CEE Directory of ARI Verified Equipment*. For larger qualifying CEE products, please use the Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Institute's Online Directory*.

CEE is assessing energy savings potential for commercial boilers. Please consult the Gas Programs* portion of CEE's website for additional information on this exploratory effort.
