Initially, all Small General Service customers will be placed on Fixed Basic Service. You can choose Variable Basic Service, but you can only make this choice once. If you are on Fixed Basic Service and switch to a competitive energy supplier before the rate period is over, your electric bill will be recalculated based on the monthly variable rate. This ensures that all customers pay the actual cost and will result in either a credit or debit being applied to your account.
