Low Income (R-2) If you are a residential customer and meet the requirements listed below then you may be eligible for a discount on your monthly electric bill. This will save you money and will not affect the service you currently receive. To apply, please complete this Eligibility Criteria for the Discount (R-2) Rate (pdf) document, including a program ID card or agency acceptance letter, and return to National Grid or call us at 1-800-322-3223

Eligibility Criteria
  • Your household income does not exceed 60% of the state median income level
  • You currently receive benefits under one of the following programs:
    EAEDC, Food Stamps, WIC, Fuel Assistance, Head Start, Mass Health, National School Lunch Program, Public Housing, School Breakfast Program, Supplemental Security Program, TAFDC, Veterans Programs - 115 benefits, DIC surviving parent, Non-Service Pension

Interruptible Credits
