Application Package Prior to installation of the equipment a completed application package for interconnection under the SIR must be submitted to the utility consisting of the following items:
  1. Letter of authorization signed by the utility customer naming the agent/contractor authorized to represent the utility customer.
  2. A completed Standardized Contract, Form K (pdf) signed by the utility customer.
  3. For interconnection of 25 kW or smaller systems and/or inverter based systems greater than 25 kW and not greater than 200 kW, a completed single page application, Appendix B (pdf), signed by the agent or the utility customer.

    For interconnection of systems greater than 25 kW a completed application, Appendix C (pdf) signed by the agent or the utility customer.
  4. A three line diagram of the system identifying all major system components and all interconnections.
  5. A copy of the manufacturers catalog cut sheets for the inverter and panel/turbine.
  6. A copy of the independent third party testing laboratory Listing report for the inverter indicating compliance with UL 1741 (November 2005 revision).
  7. A copy of the independent third party testing laboratory Listing report for the panel/turbine.
  8. A copy of the manufacturers verification test procedure(s).

Installation of the equipment can commence following notification from the utility that the application has been found to be complete and no additional studies are required to allow for the interconnection of the proposed equipment with the utility system.

To Receive a Net Meter For installations eligible for net metering, the utility will change out the customers meter to a net meter following receipt of letter from the customer stating that:
  1. The installation is complete in accordance with the information provided in the original application
  2. The manufacturer’s verification testing has been successfully completed.
  3. The validation test letter should be signed and sent by the person who is actually performing the test, usually the contractor/agent.
