National Grid
Interconnection of Generators

The Distributed Generation Interconnection process ensures that your Distributed Generation has no adverse impacts on safety, reliability, and power quality. It begins in your stage of planning, continues through the installation of equipment, and completes with Inspections and Signoff.

The Interconnection process is governed by the New York Standardized Interconnection Requirements (SIR). The full New York Standardized Interconnection Requirements and a listing of certified and tested equipment in New York State can be found at: http://www3.dps.state.ny.us/W/PSCWeb.nsf/96f0fec0b45a3c6485257688006a701a/dcf68efca391ad6085257687006f396b/$FILE/SIRDevices.pdf*
