Transmission Delivery Customers
Wholesale electric customers (such as municipal electric departments) requiring new or upgraded connections to the transmission system should contact our Transmission Commercial Services Department for assistance. In many cases, you will also need to contact ISO New England* and/or New York ISO*, as applicable for your locale.

Existing Generators
If you are planning an expansion, please Contact your Account Manager to discuss your plans and review the steps you'll need to take.

New Generators
To establish a new connection to our electric transmission system complete the following steps:
  1. First, register with the regional system operator for your locale—ISO New England* or New York ISO*.

  2. Next, please review important New Generator Documentation that applies to your profile.
Retail Customers
Retail customers (those drawing power from the system for use in their own facilities) who require new or upgraded connections to the transmission system should contact our Business Services department. Retail service at all voltage levels is governed by the retail tariff of the distribution company that serves the area where you are located.
