We’re introducing an exclusive opportunity for customers in select areas to earn extra rewards for using less energy this summer while helping to reduce stress on the electric grid in your community. Together, we can support a stronger, more resilient electric grid, and you’ll earn extra incentives for your participation.
For a limited time, residential and small business customers located in select areas with a qualifying smart thermostat connected to a central cooling system can earn a $150 reward when they enroll in the ConnectedSolutions electric thermostat program.
How it works
During the hottest days of summer, homes and businesses use more electricity than usual, putting stress on the electrical grid. ConnectedSolutions offers rewards for automatically reducing your home and small business energy use during these times of peak demand. The electric program runs May 1 through September 30.
Enroll your qualifying smart thermostat in the ConnectedSolutions electric program and get $150* once accepted into the program.
Your thermostat automatically pre-cools your home or business and then adjusts by a couple of degrees during an event. Most events last three to four hours.
We estimate 10-20 events in the summer.
You are always in control. If an event is inconvenient for you, simply opt out of that event.
Incentives
You will receive your enrollment reward in the form of a virtual pre-paid Mastercard® within 4-6 weeks of enrollment via email. You will receive your end of summer season reward no later than December 15. If you do not activate your virtual pre-paid Mastercard® within two weeks of receiving the email, a physical gift card will be mailed to the name and address enrolled in the program.
*The standard enrollment reward for the ConnectedSolutions electric thermostat program is $50. For a limited time, customers in select areas can earn an additional $100 reward, totaling $150 for enrolling. Eligible customers must enroll qualifying smart thermostat by June 1, 2026 to earn additional incentive.

Don’t have a smart thermostat yet?
The ConnectedSolutions program is enabled by smart thermostats that are connected to a central cooling system. If you don’t have one yet, there are many options for purchasing a participating smart thermostat including local hardware stores or online retailers.
