Building Performance Institute (BPI) is the nation’s premier credential for home performance professionals. Qualifying entities include the following:
- Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (WMBE) and their employees.
- Indigenous-owned energy services companies and their employees.
- Veteran Owned Businesses (VOB) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB).

Individuals living in disadvantaged communities who are already employed in or wish to enter the energy services field.
- Low-income individuals
Training and exams for BPI certification for only $150.
We’ve teamed up with NYSERDA to significantly reduce the cost to only $150 per participating person. Eligible BPI training and certification pathways include:
- Building Analyst Technician
- Building Analyst Professional
- Multifamily Building Analyst
- Air Leakage Control Installer
- Infiltration and Duct Leakage
Building Science Principles
All eligible pathways begin with earning BPI’s Building Science Principles Certificate, an essential foundation for industry success.
