Protection from Disconnection is Available for Residential and Qualifying Small Business Customers
Residential customers in New York can be protected under the Parker-Richardson legislation. For residential customers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19, including customers who have qualified for unemployment, experienced a reduction in household income or incurred significant costs, you need to attest to have protection from disconnection through 12/21/21.
Small business customers in New York can also be protected under the Parker-Richardson legislation. For small business customers who meet the below criteria, you also need to attest to have protection from disconnection through 12/21/21:
Four-Step Qualification Check for Small Businesses:
- 25 employees or fewer; and
- Your business is not publicly traded or a subsidiary; and
- Your business is not a seasonal, or short-term; and
- Your business is not a high use customer.
