Storm Cleanup

National Grid is prepared for the 4th Nor’easter to hit our region in 3 weeks. Our crews are prepared in the event the forecasted snowstorm causes damage to our region’s natural gas network, and we want to ensure you are prepared, too. As you dig out of your homes and businesses, remember the deep snowpack left by snow removal equipment may have clogged vents, furnaces and other appliances. These conditions could lead to natural gas leaks. If you suspect a gas leak, make sure you leave the premises immediately and call National Grid’s emergency number at 1-800-233-5325.

Savings you can warm up to.

Heating makes up a big part of your home’s energy budget—as much as 50 percent for those of us who live in the Northeast. Installing a high-efficiency gas heating system can make your home more comfortable and save up to 30 percent on heating costs. Plus, National Grid offers rebates on today’s energy-efficient boilers and furnaces, programmable thermostats, and more.

You may also be surprised to know that water heating equals a whopping 15 percent of your home’s energy budget. We can provide you with information and rebates on the latest gas water heaters, which can save up to 50 percent more energy than traditional, non-energy efficient models.
