Where can we help you today?

Massachusetts Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP)

Are you a Massachusetts renter having challenges covering rent and/or utilities as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic? You may qualify for up to eighteen (18) months of rental arrears and/or future rent, as well as overdue utilities arrears up to $2,500. All rent and utility arrears must have been accrued after March 13, 2020.

Renters may apply for help with utilities even if they do not need help paying for rent.

Applicants must have a household income of 80% or less of the Area Median Income Limit (AMI), which varies by location and household size.  Visit the agency locator to determine your region’s AMI.

Assistance will be paid directly to landlords and utility service providers. Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) funds do not need to be reimbursed or paid back.

You can apply online.

Visit or call 2-1-1 for more information.
