We are forming strategic partnerships to develop new energy solutions for our customers.
At National Grid, we are constantly exploring, developing, and launching innovative energy solutions and technologies that unlock value for customers and communities. But we can’t do this alone. This is where our New Partnerships Team comes in, identifying and building partnerships and alliances to help us develop new energy solutions for our customers.
We are forming partnerships to enhance new energy projects in areas such as energy efficiency, alternative fuel vehicles, grid modernization, and distributed generation programs. Our team manages targeted strategies and metrics related to ongoing and new alliances, vendor relationships, and industry partnerships.
Since our inception, we have been collaborating with a wide range of traditional and nontraditional industry players. A few key examples of our partnerships:
- Energy Software Development Companies. We are collaborating with an energy software development company through the construction of a Demand Response Platform. This partnership has allowed for the deployment of ConnectedSolutions, our energy response and optimization program.
- Smart Thermostat Manufacturers. We partner with an array of smart thermostat manufacturers to provide customers with the ability to reduce peak load and save on their electric bills.
- Home Energy Monitoring Device Developer. We are working with a home energy monitoring device developer on use cases for sensors that can detect granular energy usage in a home.
