When it comes to paperless billing, there are many reasons you may choose to make the switch from paper to electronic bills. With paperless billing you’ll:
- Receive a monthly on-bill credit.
- Enjoy the convenience of paying online.
- Protect the environment.
- Avoid Post Office delays.
Log into your account and enroll online through My Account. You'll find the paperless billing settings under the Billing and Usage tab.
If you’re not already registered, have your account number ready, which can be found on your most recent bill.
You can also sign up through our mobile app. Once you're logged in to the app, click the Billing tab, then click the Paperless Billing button, then click Enroll.
While paperless billing offers many benefits - including a monthly bill credit and access to your bills anytime, anywhere - we understand that some customers prefer to receive paper bills. There are 3 ways to you can return to paper bills:
- Log in to My Account and update your account's paperless billing preferences (under the Billing and Usage tab).
- Log in to the National Grid mobile app. Under the Billing tab, click the Paperless Billing button and then click Unenroll.
- Call us and a Customer Service Specialist will assist you with re-establishing printed bills.
If you change your mind, you can follow the same steps to rejoin paperless billing at any time.
Yes, a printed or emailed copy is an acceptable way to prove your address.
You can update your information anytime on your account page. Just log in directly to your account and then update your Settings & Preferences.
Yes. You can print out a copy when you receive it, or you can access your last 24 months of bills online from your account.
Yes, they are identical and contain all the same information.
