Rhode Island Energy Efficiency Technical Working Group
The RI Energy Efficiency Technical Working Group consists of energy efficiency stakeholders that meet at least once a month to inform the development, implementation, and evaluation of National Grid’s energy efficiency program plans.
National Grid has facilitated the Technical Working Group since 1991 to create transparency around the development of its annual energy efficiency plans. The Technical Working Group is open to organizations with subject matter expertise in demand-side resources to discuss the details of program development and implementation that can commit to participating and engaging in monthly meetings.
The Technical Working group is distinct from the Energy Efficiency and Resource Management Council (EERMC) and serves a different purpose. The EERMC is the public-facing entity that formally oversees National Grid’s energy efficiency plans and efforts at a higher level to ensure cost-effective energy savings and benefits are achieved in compliance with state law. Members of the public are encouraged to attend EERMC meetings and provide public comments.
