BROOKLYN/HICKSVILLE, N.Y. – As we continue to monitor and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and in the interest of the wellbeing and safety of the public and its employees, National Grid has canceled the remaining in-person public meetings scheduled on the Long-term Natural Gas Capacity Report. As an alternative to these face-to-face meetings, National Grid has scheduled a series of virtual meetings throughout this month to ensure the public still has an opportunity to review and provide input on the options presented in the report.
These virtual meetings will feature an oral comment period where participants can make a statement which will be recorded, transcribed and sent unabridged to the New York Public Service Commission (NYPSC). The following is the virtual meeting schedule:
- March 23, 6-9pm
- March 24, 6-9pm
- March 25, 6-9pm
- March 30, 6-9pm
- March 31, 6-9pm
In advance of the meetings, we encourage the public to visit ngrid.com/longtermsolutions for the dial-in information and link for each virtual meeting (both available on date of meeting), and to review the full report, summary report, project overview video and other support materials. Visitors to the site can also provide feedback through a survey or by submitting written comment directly to the NYPSC. The public doesn’t have to attend a virtual meeting to voice their view – all the features on the website are available for everyone to review the options online and provide feedback.
For those that do not have access to the internet, feedback can be sent directly by mail to:
