National Grid, through its Grid for Good program, has provided a $75,000 grant to 518ElevatED to connect young people and work-ready adults with training and job opportunities in the energy industry.  Through the partnership between National Grid and 518ElevatED, about 30 students took part in a 10-month career exploration program that combined in-person and virtual sessions discussing career pathways and skills development. On May 15, these students completed the program and celebrated their work at the National Grid facility in Albany, NY. The local Public Radio station, WAMC, did an in-depth story on the students, 518ElevatED and National Grid leaders to discuss the success of the program.
