National Grid proudly partnered with Hope For Youth Inc. to support the beautification of the organization’s Seaford Group Home, providing a grant for landscaping enhancements, including the planting of arborvitae trees and the revitalization of the home’s front garden.

This meaningful project was celebrated with a site visit from members of National Grid. The upgrades provide not only a visual improvement but also a sense of pride and comfort for the youth who call the residence home.

“We are incredibly grateful to National Grid for their generous grant supporting the beautification and landscaping of our Seaford Group Home property,” said Chris Fischer, LCSW, Deputy Executive Director & COO of Hope For Youth. “Funding for these types of projects is often difficult to secure, yet they play a vital role in creating a welcoming and dignified environment for the youth we serve. This grant goes a long way in helping our youth feel proud of where they live and reinforces the message that their home and well-being truly matter.”

The landscaping project included a new row of arborvitae trees in the backyard—offering both natural beauty and increased privacy for the youth—as well as enhancements to the front garden, contributing to a warmer, more welcoming exterior.

“It was wonderful to see the beautiful landscaping in front of the home and the row of arborvitae planted in the back,” said Yaryl Gonzalez, Community Engagement Manager, National Grid. “These thoughtful touches will help create a safer, more private space for the boys to live and grow.”

For over 50 years, Hope For Youth has served children, youth, and families across Long Island, offering a wide range of services from clinical and preventive care to foster care and residential programs.
