LaGuardia Airport Celebrates Completion of Delta Air Lines Terminal C

New York public officials celebrated the completion of LaGuardia Airport with the opening of Delta Air Line’s Terminal C, providing world-class airport facilities for travelers.
Rudy Wynter, President, President, National Grid New York, attended the ribbon cutting celebration to commemorate this major milestone along with New York Governor Kathy Hochul, Congressman Gregory W. Meeks, Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, Rick Cotton Executive Director of The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and other officials.
Cotton, along with Delta Air Lines officials recognized National Grid for support of the capital program. National Grid provided upgraded infrastructure, essential for safe and reliable airport operations.
National Grid was proud to support this capital redevelopment project involving a multitude of factors – providing state-of the art service for air travelers and showcasing the beautiful diversity of our communities,” said Renee McClure, Director, National Grid Customer and Community Management. “The success of this massive project was the result of a lot of teamwork and coordination with our internal departments and community partners.”

Delta Terminal C is designed to deliver the efficiency and speed New York travelers often need, allowing them to navigate to and from their gates quickly and intuitively with the latest technologies such as hands-free bag drop, self-serve check-in and Digital ID screening capabilities. Terminal C is as visually impressive as it is efficient, featuring a world-class art program in partnership with the Queens Museum, showcasing custom pieces from six local artists that share a compelling story of New York’s immigrant history, its people and the importance of the city’s diversity.
