Tax Exempt Forms

Customers can find sales tax exemption forms by visiting the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance website at: Sales tax exemption documents (ny.gov)

Select the New York State form that applies to your individual situation. Fully complete the form making sure to check all appropriate boxes, then sign and date it. Be sure to indicate your National Grid customer account number.

Submit the form via one of these options:

  • Self-Service Web Portal: Use our exemption certificate self-service web portal (Avalara Cert Express) to complete and submit sales tax exemption forms.  Be sure to indicate your National Grid customer account number.
