Hope & Warmth Energy Fund

The Hope & Warmth Energy Fund is administered by HeartShare Human Services of New York and provides emergency financial assistance to customers who are having difficulty paying their heat-related energy bills in National Grid’s New York State service area.

Eligible customers can receive one grant:

  • $500 for heating accounts
  • $205 for electric only non-heat account that needs electric to operate their heating system
  • $100 for hot water and/or cooking only accounts

To qualify, an applicant must:

  • Reside in a residential home or apartment
  • Have an active National Grid heating account in their name
  • Meet the Enhanced Energy Affordability Program (EEAP) income guidelines
  • Be ineligible for or have not received HEAP in the current season
  • Have an account balance of $1 or more
