Wakefield to Lynn Transmission Project
Project Overview
The Wakefield to Lynn Transmission Project will upgrade National Grid structures that make up the A179 and Q169 transmission lines. These lines go through the towns of Wakefield, Saugus and Cities of Revere and Lynn. The project is roughly 15 miles and will be completed in two phases:
- Phase 1: A179 line from Revere to Lynn
- Phase 2: Q169 line from Wakefield to Saugus then Lynn
The primary purpose of the project is to upgrade existing structures in the A179/Q169 line to maintain reliability.
