Storm Alert

3:45 p.m. Update: Since yesterday, when a major wind and thunderstorm battered Upstate New York, our crews have been out in full force. As of this afternoon, approximately 94 percent of the more than 117,000 customers who were affected by the storm have had their electricity service restored. The storm brought down trees, tree limbs and wires, causing damage to poles, transformers and other critical electricity infrastructure. We urge everyone to always assume any downed line is live and dangerous, to stay far away, and to keep others at a safe distance. If you see a downed power line, please call 911 immediately and then contact us at 1-800-867-5222 so our crews can respond as quickly as possible.
