Energy Infrastructure Academy

This is an 8-week, 200+ hour immersive skills training and registered pre-apprenticeship program for work ready adults, preparing them for entry and mid-level union roles at National Grid.

Program Details.

  • Three sessions are held each year (Summer, Fall, and Winter). 
  • Participants receive a weekly stipend, earn 3 certifications needed for roles in the utility industry, and job shadow National Grid employees.

  • Training in high-demand, high value energy and utility skills
  • Preparing trainees to apply for competitive, full-time union roles

Community Partners

Our community partners provide weeks 0-3 training and on-going support, screening and enrollment of trainees.  They also screen and enroll our trainees, helping them to complete the milestones needed to move on to the Week 4 curriculum.
