About the Project

The Boulevard 77 improvement and resiliency project is a proposal to improve the current asset condition and accommodate the future load growth in the Lowell, Massachusetts area. National Grid will be investing over $8 million in the construction of this substation improvement project, strengthening the region’s electrical distribution system.

Construction Schedule:

Construction is slated to begin in the Spring of 2020 and be completed by the end of the Spring of 2021.
