This project is going to take place within the shoulder of Jericho Oyster Bay Road and Brookville Road in Muttontown, NY.

The work involves the installation of upgraded underground vaults, equipment, vent poles, telemetry cabinets and infrastructure of the regulator station. These upgrades will modernize our infrastructure and increase the safety and reliability of our service.

No. This work will be managed so that service interruption will not be an issue.

Construction is anticipated to begin in late April 2024 will continue through late fall 2024. Restoration of the area will occur in the Fall 2024. 

Traffic may be affected during construction along the project route. * Both lanes will remain open with cones/barriers to separate the construction site from vehicular traffic. Our team is working with the town to ensure the safety of the streets and mitigate traffic issues to the greatest extent feasible. Traffic flaggers will be on-site during construction hours and traffic signs will be posted as vehicles approach and pass the construction zone.

*It is important to note that during specific construction activities that require the usage of a crane, there may be impacts to one lane of traffic next to the shoulder on Jericho Oyster Bay Road and Brookville Road.

No. This project is within the public right-of-way alongside Jericho Oyster Bay Road and Brookville Road and will not encroach onto any surrounding properties.

While our contractors will make efforts to keep disturbance to a minimum, there will be noise associated with this project. Most of that noise will occur at the earlier stages of the project, while excavation is underway, and contractors use heavy equipment to trench ahead of the installation of upgraded infrastructure.
