About the Project

National Grid continuously evaluates opportunities to enhance the reliability of its energy delivery networks.
Beginning in Spring 2027, National Grid will resume work to upgrade our facility on New Highway in Commack, NY. All work will take place within the station boundaries. Upgrading this important infrastructure will increase the reliability of the system and the service to the community in this area.
Construction activities will use heavy equipment during daytime work hours. Hours and schedule are subject to change. This first phase of construction was completed in Fall 2025, with additional phases scheduled for this station in Spring 2027 and Spring 2028. This work will not impact your National Grid service. For your safety, please stay away from the construction site and pay attention to signs around the work area.
