News and Updates

2025

Meadowbrook Parkway work should be completed by the end of the winter construction season and paused during the holiday (12/19 thru 1/5/26). You can expect to see:

  • Jersey Barrier Removal
  • Temp Fence and Gate Removal (upon completion of backfill work)
  • Meadowbrook Work Signage removal (upon completion)

We want to thank you for your continued patience as we make our way towards the Meadowbrook Parkway to complete important upgrades on our infrastructure within the Garden City community. As we approach the completion of these improvements, we wanted to let you know what to expect in the final stages of the project.

  • Crews will backfill excavations and remove materials and equipment from the work zone.
  • Temporary restoration and then final restoration of the impacted areas will take place.
  • Asphalt restoration has begun on Stewart Avenue.
  • Restoration activities continue, which include replacing the impacted sidewalks/curbs and restoring the grassy areas.

As our work continues down Stewart towards Merrick Avenue, our crews will be working days, Monday thru Friday, between 6 AM and 5 PM. They will be using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), due to the complexity of this phase, and to continue the least impactful work under the Meadowbrook Parkway.
