National Grid continuously evaluates opportunities to enhance the reliability of its energy delivery networks. Beginning in Spring 2026, our crews will be working on E. Main Street in Yaphank to upgrade underground infrastructure. Upgrading this important infrastructure will increase the reliability of the system and the service to the community in this area.

This work will impact parking and traffic patterns, on E. Main Street during work hours. Once work is complete for the day, all excavations will be secured and plated. This important upgrade is expected to be completed in Summer 2026, at which time, any affected roadway, sidewalk, or grass areas along the project route will be restored to Town of Brookhaven and Suffolk County standards. 

This work will not impact service for National Grid customers. For your safety, please stay out of work zones and be alert for signage and flaggers around the construction zone.
