National Grid continued to make restoration progress overnight, and will be working through the day to bring power back to those customers who remain without it after Tropical Storm Isaias’ heavy rain and up to 60 mph winds on Tuesday. While most customers are targeted for restoration by tonight, some outages may extend into the weekend. Thousands of personnel are in the field working as quickly as possible while keeping safety a number one priority. Restoration times will be refined on this site throughout the day. We're here for you when the unexpected happens.  If you are unable to pay your bill on time, we offer two types of payment extensions that can help.

Please note: If you are currently enrolled in a payment plan and unable to make your payment or if you have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and you’re struggling to pay your bill, please call us at 1-800-322-3223 to discuss your options.

Collection Arrangement Payment Agreement
Payment solution Your full bill amount will be split into two installments. A down payment plus additional installments added to your future bills. Both are calculated based on your current account balance.
When is payment due? The two installment dates are determined at time of enrollment, with final installment due within 42 days. Every month when the current charges are billed.
Late payment charges Assessed on the overdue balance, during the time the agreement remains active. Not added to the overdue balance as long as the agreement remains active.
Length of plan Up to 42 days, determined at time of enrollment. Calculated based on current account balance up to 12 months.
Eligibility rules
  1. You must have an active account
  2. Your service cannot be supplied by an alternative energy supplier
  3. Your account cannot be “cash only”
  4. You cannot be enrolled in budget billing or a payment agreement
