Storm Alert

11:00 p.m. Update: National Grid has restored service to 95% of customers that were impacted by this week’s storm across upstate New York. The company deployed nearly 3,400 line, tree, public safety and damage assessment specialists beginning Sunday to remove broken tree limbs and uprooted trees, and repair downed lines, broken poles, and other infrastructure damaged by the storm. Our crews will continue their work until every customer has had their electric service restored. National Grid reminds you to never touch downed power lines; always assume they are carrying live electricity.

Smell gas? Act fast.

If you suspect a gas emergency, report it immediately to 911 or 1-800-892-2345

Safety Tips

  • Use extreme caution near downed power lines and wires, and always assume that they are carrying live electricity
  • Generators used to supply power during an outage must be operated outdoors to prevent the buildup of deadly carbon monoxide
