Storm Alert

7:00 p.m. Update: National Grid has deployed more than 2,300 line, tree, damage, and public safety specialists to assess damage, clean up debris and restore power to customers as a result of the ongoing windstorm that struck Upstate New York beginning Thursday evening.  As of 3 p.m. on Friday, National Grid has restored service to more than 54,000 of the nearly 66,000 customers affected by the storm. Be sure to charge your mobile devices so that you can remain connected in the event of an outage, and use extreme caution near downed power lines and wires; always assume that they are carrying live electricity.
