1 Important Alert(s)

Storm Alert

7:00 a.m. Update: Our crews have restored power to more than 44,000 of the 53,500 customers affected by a windstorm packing gusts exceeding 70 mph in some locations. The latest weather forecasts project another round of strong wind that will continue through Tuesday afternoon, with the potential for measurable snowfall that could cause some customers who were previously restored to lose power again. Use extreme caution near downed power lines and wires; always assume that they are carrying live electricity.

Excess Flow Valve (EFV) Installation

You may request installation of an excess flow valve (EFV), a safety device that slows the flow of natural gas in the event of a service line break. An EFV is not required for normal operation of your gas line. In fact, you may already have an EFV installed.

There is a charge for this service. Certain conditions must exist for this installation.

Any contractor doing work for National Grid is required to carry ID. If someone requesting entry into your home or place of business does not show an ID card, don’t let that person in and call your local law enforcement.
