Construction Impacts:

• 97th Street & Astoria Boulevard will be temporarily closed during construction work hours. After work is completed for the day, normal traffic patterns will resume.
• Crosswalk on 97th Street north of Astoria Boulevard will be impacted during construction.
• A traffic flagger will be on-site during work hours to assist vehicles and pedestrians.
• Pedestrians are encouraged to use alternate crosswalks during construction hours.
  
  

In late July, our crews will begin work on 87th Street between Astoria Boulevard and 23rd Avenue. Construction activities in this area will occur intermittently from late July through November 2026 to support the project.

Starting in June, our crews will begin work on 97th Street, north of Astoria Boulevard, extending into the intersection. This project will strengthen our utility infrastructure and support reliable service. We anticipate the work will take approximately eight weeks to complete.
