Beginning in June 2026, National Grid will begin maintenance work on a segment of our underground transmission system in the Town of Hempstead. This work is required to meet federally mandated compliance standards and is essential to ensuring the ongoing safety and reliability of your local energy delivery system.

When: June 2026 through August 2026

Hours: Monday through Friday, 7AM to 4PM for excavation work and there will be 24/7 presence of National Grid personnel to monitor maintenance work.
