The Lawrence #2 substation, an indoor substation, requires a rebuild to strengthen our electric distribution systems to more reliably serve our customers in your area. The current substation will be retired, and a new outdoor substation will be built adjacent to it accompanied by a new perimeter fence. The new substation will be integrated via underground conduit connecting to existing underground infrastructure on Common Street in Lawrence.
