Yes. Sunrise Highway work will close the right-hand, westbound lane during night work hours (9PM to 5AM). Hewlett Avenue, Newbridge Road, Albermarle Avenue, and Johnson Place will maintain one lane for traffic during applicable daytime work hours. Parking will be restricted near the work zone, and flaggers will be on site to facilitate two-way traffic through the single lane. Excavations will be secured and plated during non-work hours. Periodic temporary road closures for specific construction activities may be necessary.
No. This work will take place within established utility corridors.
While our crews will make efforts to keep disturbance to a minimum, there will be noise associated with this project. Most of that noise will occur while excavation is underway as contractors use heavy equipment. During the tie-in phase of this work, there will be one day of 24/7 operations on site in order to monitor newly installed infrastructure for compliance. This one day of 24/7 activity will require the use of a generator, which does emit a hum, and will be running through the duration of work. Advanced notice will be provided several days before this tie-in work begins.
