2026

Beginning Tuesday 9/8/26, National Grid crews will be returning to complete work on Albermarle Avenue during daytime hours, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

This work is part of the Bellmore Upgrade Project, which will help strengthen the local gas system and maintain reliable service during high demand of the winter heating season. Work on Albermarle Avenue is expected to take 1-2 weeks to compete, with final restoration of the roadway expected this fall. There will be no impact to National Grid service to customers.

Crews will be excavating in the roadway using heavy equipment. Once work is complete for the day, all excavations will be secured and plated to allow for normal traffic patterns to resume.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we complete this important work. Please use caution near the work zone, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time if needed. Be mindful of traffic flaggers and posted signage and leave extra time when traveling. For your safety do not enter work zones.
