Yes. Our top priority is the safety of our customers, the general public, and our employees and contractors. The professional construction firms we work with also place safety as their top priority.
Any service interruptions are scheduled with the customer in advance. Only the transferring over of service lines requires a small window of interrupted service.
Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. However, motorists can expect lane shifts, merging traffic and delays. Traffic signs will be posted, and flaggers positioned where required.
National Grid may need to dig on the property to access the existing service line. All excavations will be restored to existing conditions.
While our crews will make efforts to keep disturbance to a minimum, there will be noise associated with this project. Most of that noise will occur while excavation is underway as contractors use heavy equipment.
