News and Updates

2026

This week, crews continued work to relocate a section of water main near the intersection of Lorimer Street and Meeker Avenue. This water main relocation work is expected to take another 1-2 weeks, at which time our crews can begin work on underground gas infrastructure.

The Lorimer Street Upgrade Project will be done in phases, with the last phase expected to be completed in Fall 2027. No parking on either side of Lorimer Street is permitted close to the work zone. Materials and equipment will be stored on the surrounding blocks for the duration of the project.
