More Time to Pay

Before signing up for a payment agreement you may want to consider that financial assistance provided by the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) may be available to help you pay your home energy bills. HEAP historically runs from November – March.

Payment Plans

Our payment agreements can allow you to spread your past-due amount over manageable monthly installments. We offer multiple repayment options depending on customer type and eligibility. The terms below are for residential customers with active accounts. If your account has been disconnected, please call 1-800-443-1837 to determine what repayment options you have.

A deferred payment agreement (DPA) is a longer-term repayment plan with a fixed monthly installment amount added to your current charges. A DPA must be signed, either electronically or hard copy before your agreement can take effect.

  1. Standard Payment Agreement: 15% downpayment with the balance payable in 10 monthly installments (plus your current bill). Click "Enroll Now" below to apply for this type of repayment plan.
  2. Minimum Payment Agreement: Customers must qualify financially. A Minimum Payment Agreement may be for as little as $0 down and payments as low as $10 a month (plus your current bill).  
    • If you are currently on the EAP program, or have recently received HEAP or EHEAP you may automatically qualify. You may call us at 1-800-443-1837 to determine your eligibility, and will be offered a Minimum Payment Agreement on your account if you are eligible. If you have not taken part in these programs recently, or are not sure, you may submit an Online Financial Statement and we will review and reply if you are eligible for a Minimum Payment Agreement. This payment agreement is not available to sign up via self-service through My Account at this time. 

A shorter term payment plan (Collection Arrangement) is also available. Usually, a minimum of 25% as a downpayment is required, with the remaining balance paid over 40 days. These payments would be in addition to your current bill but would be paid separately. A collection arrangement does not need to be signed, but we can provide a written copy if requested.

The Payment Assistance Bundle makes it easier to manage your monthly energy costs and pay down any past-due balance over a 12-month period. By enrolling in the bundle, you’ll gain access to these three programs:

  1. Deferred Payment Agreement: this allows you to spread out your past-due balance into future monthly payments. The plan requires a 10% down payment and a 12-month period to help you settle any accumulated balance.
  2. Automatic Monthly Payments: your payments will be automatically deducted from your bank account each month, so you never miss a due date.
  3. Budget Plan: this breaks down your annual energy costs into balanced monthly payments, making it easier to budget and plan your expenses.
