Located on Boutilier Rd in Leicester, and ”just down the street from another National Grid-owned solar facility, this site provides load relief and voltage regulation for a heavily loaded substation nearby. It has been connected to the grid since July 2016.
The project is estimated to save approximately 85 pounds of sulfur dioxide, 342 pounds of nitrous oxides, and over 450,000 pounds of carbon dioxide every year.
